Success in one’s endeavour is never created in a vacuum. Success is never a lone endeavour. Since early times great men have surrounded themselves with trusted advisors to guide them to success, thereby creating a mastermind around them. Napoleon Hill in the early 1900’s spoke of a mastermind as “The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony.” He continues “No two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind.” Early biblical teachings in Mathew 18:20 reinforce this ‘For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.’

The reason mastermind groups are so powerful is that they bring together the resources such as money, time, experience, specialized knowledge and background of all the participants. To picture this principle at work imagine being given a stick and told to snap it in half. This can be accomplished easily by applying pressure on either end of the stick until it snaps. However give someone a bunch of sticks bundled together and tell them to do the same and you will find that it is not only much more difficult but

  • Make a Life Time Commitment!

Take a day for reflection every now and then.
Everyday goes by for new thoughts and ideas. It is fascinating to think that you can reflect the days and no one can accuse you for being wrong. I mean who decides what is right and wrong? If we are lucky we wake up in the morning.
When you go to bed in the night what do you think?
Are there any reflections? Does it have to be any dramas for your thoughts to show up? There are so many opportunities out there. Think and reflect.
Like my day today. It started off little later then normal. No worries. I was working by the computer to figure out some stuff. In the afternoon I had a late lunch with my youngest daughter and later on my oldest one came a long. We took a cup of coffee together. It was nice weather and I called a friend of mine to go for a walk. He showed up. We were walking for an hour and a half. It is refreshing and nice to catch up with a good friend. That’s the good part of living the life

  • What are you Passionate About?

Do you have a passion in your life?

Something that every spare moment you spend doing, reading about, studying? Maybe your passion is skiing. Or rescuing greyhounds. Learning about Ancient Egypt.

Your passion might be going to the desert, spending time with your family, being a multi-millionaire or making quilts or wooden clocks. It might be a career, a cause, a hobby.

It doesn’t really matter what your passion is as long as you’re honoring it and doing it. If you are, then you’re one of the lucky people on this earth.

Many people don’t even know what they want, don’t know what their passion is.

Are you frustrated a lot? Feeling overwhelmed and at odds with the world? Do you feel life is a struggle, always uphill yet you’re going downhill fast?

Chances are, it’s because you’re not in alignment with your

  • Fear Does not Exist

Fear does more to destroy the natural potential that people have than anything else on the planet. Each of us is capable of accomplishing incredible things. The “dream” life is available to each person on this planet. However, fear in its’ many forms creeps in to ruin any chance at achieving our true greatness.

The biggest problem with fear is that it is not real. It is exists in our heads. The mind conjures it up to protect itself from situations that it believes to be painful. Thus, it instills fear to turn us back from the situation that we are about to enter into.

One of the most powerful tools against fear is to remain in the moment. Focus upon what is in front of you. For fear to exist, one must project into the future. Unfortunately, because of the conditioning that we received over the years, our projections forward tend to be negative. Thus, when we look to a situation that is down the road, we view it as not working out to our satisfaction. This instills fear within us since we now must deal with something that we think is not

  • In my studies of human development, I found that procrastination destroys more things than any other single element. If this habit gets out of control, it ruins marriages, careers, relationships, and self worth. Over time, it has the capability to grow until it completely paralyzes an individual. The effect equally devastates the people doing the procrastinating and all others around them.

Everyone procrastinates to a certain degree. It is a natural human tendency to put some things off, especially those activities we deem negative. Where this habit becomes a problem is when it becomes the default mindset. As children, we are inclined to do things the moment that we think of them. The “do it now” mentality is prevalent. The concept of time is not well formed, thus the child lives completely in the moment. Of course, as we age, this all changes.

As we mature, we learn certain lessons. These lessons are taught in a variety of ways. However, the overall message is that responsible people do a lot of things they do not enjoy. To show us how this work, most of us are given chores to do while growing up. Tasks such as mowing the lawn, taking out the garbage, setting the table, and doing the dishes suddenly are assigned to us. Naturally, the desire to go out and play is stronger than the will to do these things. The reason is playing

A great writer, perhaps Thoreau, once said that many people were ‘living lives of quiet desperation’. If only it were that simple! His familiar saying implies that some people, perhaps a lot of them, are unhappy with the way their lives are now and want to change things for the better. I think it’s worse than that. While they may look in the mirror and don’t like what they see; while they may get up in the morning and don’t like the work they have to go to; while they see rich and successful people on their TV, in their newspapers, and in magazines; they don’t just feel unhappy and unfulfilled. They also console themselves with daydreams about how they could be there too, out there, where they want to be.

What’s wrong with that? Only one thing. It means you’re leading a ‘double life’. Just as ‘mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent’ was the alter ego of Superman, so there are plenty of other ’secret identities’, in every office, every factory, every workplace. While they may seem harmless enough, and are going about their daily lives in a humdrum way, you might just catch them once in a while, staring out of the window and dreaming of how things could be, given – well, whatever you think is going to save you, a win on the Lottery perhaps, or just ‘being ‘discovered’ by that talent scout, the photographer, that agent, whatever. Eric Berne, the man who invented ‘Games People Play’ back in the ’60s, called it ‘Waiting for Santa Claus’, and you can see what he means. There you are, where you don’t want to be, hoping against hope that one day you’ll be ‘rescued’ and off you go, to a new and

There’s a condition that holds a lot of people back from progressing towards their goals. I’ve been guilty of suffering from this condition on some occasions, and maybe you have too.

It’s been called ‘analysis paralysis’, and is a form of perfectionism. Here’s how it looks: you have an idea. It could be a project that would generate extra income if you pulled it off. It makes sense. It sounds feasible. Heck, it even sounds easy and straightforward.

But days pass, weeks pass, months pass and you still haven’t taken the first step towards making that project a reality. Rather, you’re still thinking about how you’re going to solve every problem before you get started. You’re analyzing the idea to death, literally.

You want it to be perfect before you launch.

As a result, you never launch. All you have is an idea. Possibly a very good one at that.

While you’re dilly-dallying, someone else comes along with the same idea, launches the project with faults here and there and starts making a lot of money with it (as a result of the benefit it’s bringing to lots of people). You then feel like kicking yourself, thinking ‘if only I’d acted when I had the idea, I would be the one

I’ve developed a habit, and it’s seems that it’s paid off huge. A couple years ago, I started playing around with the different start-pages. I started with Pageflakes, then tried Windows Live and Netvibes. I’ve landed on Netvibes now after trying every other start page out there, but I digress. How in the world could’ve this helped my wealth?

Let me touch on Netvibes and how I use it so you can see how it’s affected my life. Any of these may work for you too!

First of all, I do Web Development for my day job, so I’m almost always at the computer whether I’m at work or at home (this is touchy with the girlfriend, but that’s for another post!). This allows me to have my Netvibes page open in a Firefox tab all the time.

    Notes
Netvibes has a notes application that allows you to simply click and type a note. This note is then available to you anywhere you have access to the site. I use this for simply things like to-dos ideas, etc. For more complex lists, I also use the Remember The Milk module.

    Niche Feeds
Whatever your area of interest, whether Internet marketing, real estate, programming, or mowing grass - there are sites out there devoted to what you’re passionate about. I have a Netvibes tab devoted to Design, one for Programming, one for Marketing, one for Personal Blogs, etc. This allows me to
